My piece is an exploration of material, space, and sound,
that questions our ability to experience and know.

The familiar utilitarian space of my SUV will be made into an immediate,
intimate, and exclusive cathedral of form, collage, and sensation,
with a heavy nod to Kurt Schwitters' Merzbau projects of the
early 20th century, perhaps the beginning of installation art
as we know it. The recontextualization of the disparate elements
encountered in my car are a challenge to experience anew,
ideas and memories that we take for granted, but whose
meanings are unavoidably changed through the passing of time.
